The Cheater’s Bible!

These Gambling Supply Catalogs are a collector's dream. Every single one of these companies was put out of business back before 1950, but even then, these catalogs not easy to come by.

Sure, if you nosed around back in Chicago's Loop or certain back alleys of Los Angeles, you could get a catalog... But it would probably be a "sucker" catalog. It would have all the legitimate supplies an on-the-level gambling house would need. But unless you knew someone, or could prove to the owners you were one of them (usually by a gruelling under-fire demonstration and critique), the good stuff, the inside catalog, or the special supplements would remain behind the counter.

These special catalogs were often printed in quantities no more than 5% of the total circulation. 95% of the customers waltzing into these stores would be oblivious to the secret world hidden in the back room. Getting a catalog, even a legit catalog, is often difficult as these command prices of $65 EACH or more, often in terrible condition. The cheap glue and bindings on most of them disintegrate a little more each time you open them, making their reference and collectible value dubious at best.

So... Why did we DESTROY FIVE of them?

Simple. We fed each book into a digitizer. Each page is as legible as the original and can be examined, or printed out, to your hearts delight.

And then, we went further:

We asked around. Called people we knew, got them to spill their guts about what each of these doo-dads were in the book. Then, we sat up, compiling all of them.

This is like a Magic Catalog with all the secrets revealed!
